One person, with one product that's how Leo Kline started in the home improvement business. It began in 1947 with wooden storm windows and a philosophy of personalized service. Over the next 50 years the product has grown to include everything for exterior home improvements, most important though, is every customer still receives specialized personal service. During the 1950's and 60's the company continued to grow and Leo's son Paul joined the company. A site at the corner of Teall Avenue and Orwood Place an the city's east side became the main office, showroom and warehouse. With the new space Leo A. Kline was able to diversify more and expanded into patios, porch enclosures and decks. In 1967, after the death of his father, Paul became president of Leo A. Kline. The business was growing quickly, energy consciousness was on the rise, and the needs of Central New York home owners were getting more specialized. Under Paul's direction, the company broadened its selection of products. Leo A. Kline became the first company in Syracuse to offer custom replacement doors and windows. Today, custom replacement doors and windows are our company's specialty. During the late 80's Paul's sons Jeff and Matt began to learn the Leo A. Kline business philosophy while attending high school and college. After graduation from college, Jeff in 1990 and Matt in 1994, both young men have joined the company full time. Their commitment and Paul's guidance insures the continued personalized service of a locally owned & operated company.
